The Courage Centre sponsored by Shoppers Drug Mart provides crisis intervention, support, and counselling to youth, adults and seniors in crisis. We address a variety of issues that you may be experiencing such as stress, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, loss, parent-child relationships, bullying, self-mutilation, marital conflict, separation and divorce, job loss, financial issues, family violence, sexual assault, children exposed to violence in the home, and many others.

A team of highly trained volunteers provide immediate assistance to individuals or families dealing with a crisis situation. These volunteers work in collaboration with the RCMP. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Professional Intervenors at the Centre provide short and long-term counselling, emotional support and information including referrals to appropriate agencies in the following cases:
• Family Violence
• Sexual Assault
• Separation or Divorce
• Family and/or Relationship Difficulties
• Conflicts between Parents and Youths
• Low Self-Esteem
• Emotional Problems (grief, stress, etc )
• Alcohol, Drugs, and/or Gambling Addictions
• Depression & Suicidal Thoughts

We provide counselling and support free-of-charge to anyone that requires assistance in dealing with a variety of emotional and mental health issues. The number of counselling sessions will be determined between you and your interventionist depending on the nature of the support that you need.

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Outreach Service
The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Outreach Program provides crisis intervention, risk and danger assessment, safety planning, counselling, support, and accompaniment to victims of family violence, sexual assault, elder abuse and senior bullying.

Pathways for Youth Program
This program provides crisis intervention, counselling, and support to youth and their guardians in order to build mental resilience and mental fitness.

The Beauséjour Family Crisis Resource Centre is pleased to offer a variety of support groups which provide an opportunity for participants to share common experiences to their level of comfort in a non-judgemental and welcoming atmosphere. Our team of highly qualified facilitators guide participants through topic discussions and by providing emotional support.

New Beginnings Support Group

Funded by the Department of Social Development, the New Beginnings Group provides support for female victims of family violence and sexual assault who have left, are leaving, or are currently living in an abusive relationship. This group provides an opportunity for participants to share common experiences and to offer support and healing to one another. In addition to the weekly support group, two Healing Retreat days are offered throughout the year with special activities and guest speakers.

These support groups are offered based on demand:

• Mothers in Mind Program
• Caring Dads Program
• Moving Forward Program
• Male Adult Survivors of Sexual Assault Program
• Non-offending parent support group for childhood survivors of sexual assault

Support groups are also available for grief recovery, suicide bereavement, as well as for survivors of sexual abuse.

Domestic Violence Intervention Group

Funded by the Department of Public Safety, the domestic violence intervention program provides a 16-week narrative therapy approach to help perpetrators of violence to develop coping mechanisms and communication skills in order to have healthy future relationships.

The Residence of Hope Second Stage Housing Program provides affordable housing and support services to victims of family violence and their children. The Second Stage Housing Program also offers the services needed to empower these women to become financially and personally independent. The goal is to enable them to establish a life without violence.

Boutique C

Boutique C located at the Centre is a place where our clients can go in order to bring home unique clothing, accessories and toiletry items. This Boutique is made possible due to the hard work and dedication of our staff as well as due to the on-going generous donations from 2nd Edition in Moncton. A heartfelt thank you to 2nd Edition.

The Boutique is open to all clients who receive services at the Centre. This service is particularly important for victims of family violence and sexual assault who do not feel safe shopping at other second-hand stores.

Baby Box Program

The Baby Box Company, inspired by a Finnish tradition, is a global initiative designed to equip parents with the vital education and resources they need to give babies a safe, healthy, and equitable start in life. The Centre serves as a local distribution site for free baby boxes to parents in South-East New Brunswick.

Counselling en situation de crise, services de proximité, ordonnance d’intervention d’urgence, counselling pour les victimes, les abuseurs et les enfants confrontés à la violence ainsi qu’une diversité de groupes de soutien.

En collaboration avec la GRC et d’autres partenaires gouvernementaux, la salle d’entrevue accueillante offre un espace spécialisé où les victimes et leurs enfants peuvent fournir leur déclaration au service de police et autres professionnels du domaine.

Ce programme permet aux victimes d’agression sexuelle d’être vues par du personnel médical sur place afin de recevoir des soins immédiat. Cette salle comprend tout l’équipement nécessaire à l’équipe médicale pour effectuer des examens médicolégaux.

Un programme d’habitation à court terme comprenant une unité de réduction de risques pour les femmes victimes et leurs enfants qui ont immédiatement besoin d’un refuge pour une durée maximale de 90 jours.

Un programme d’habitation deuxième étape de 9 unités pour les femmes et leurs enfants échappant à la violence familiale où ils peuvent habiter jusqu’à un an et offrant du counselling et des programmes de soutien.

Centre d’enrichissement de la famille. Le Centre Ohana est le premier de ce genre au Nouveau-Brunswick et offre un espace neutre pour les enfants pour que les familles puissent avoir du temps parental supervisé ainsi que des échanges sécuritaires lorsqu’il y a une rupture familiale.

Un centre d’apprentissage de la petite enfance spécialisé en développement pour les enfants qui ont vécu un événement traumatique ou ayant un historique de violence ou d’abus.

Le centre offre les services spécialisés d’un chien élevé et entraîné par une école accréditée par Assistance Dogs International afin d’offrir du soutien aux enfants et adultes victimes de violence lorsqu’ils naviguent le système de justice pénale.

Le centre Courage commandité par Shoppers Drug Mart offre plusieurs programmes, présentations et ateliers sur des sujets liés à la violence familiale, aux agressions sexuelles, à la maltraitance des personnes âgées et à la régulation émotionnelle chez les enfants, pour n’en nommer que quelques-uns.

Une équipe de bénévoles hautement qualifiés offre de l’aide immédiate aux personnes et aux familles en situation de crise. Ces bénévoles travaillent en collaboration avec la GRC. Leurs services sont offerts 24 heures par jour, 7 jours sur 7.

Une programme de 16 semaines spécialisé en trauma visant les auteurs de violence familiale et qui met l’accent sur la guérison et les relations saines.
Stop Now And Plan est un modèle de comportement cognitif basé sur des preuves qui fournit un cadre pour enseigner aux enfants ayant des problèmes de comportement et à leurs parents des techniques de gestion des émotions, de maîtrise de soi et de résolution de problèmes.
Un programme de 10 sessions concurrentes pour les enfants de 6 à 12 ans et leurs mère vivant de la violence conjugale.
