Our Fundraising

Radiothon “Say Noto Violence”

The Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women is a national 5 K ̸ 10 K run ̸ walk event dedicated to women’s mental health initiatives. The Beauséjour Family Crisis Resource Centre is delighted to be the charity partner for the local event and funds raised help the Centre to provide counselling and support services to clients in the Moncton, Riverview, and Dieppe regions. This event has something for the whole family.

Shoppers Drug Mart LOVE.YOU Run for Women

Every February, the Courage Centre sponsored by Shoppers Drug Mart partners with the Kent Centre for the Prevention of Violence to host an important day of awareness and fundraising through a Radiothon sponsored by Radio Beauséjour. This event runs from 6am – 7pm on a select day in February. Community members are invited to call and make a donation which helps to provide necessary funds for core services. The Radiothon serves as the only major fundraising event for operational services.

In addition to collecting pledges, the day also serves to raise awareness surrounding family violence through interviews with key experts in the field, Centre staff, as well as victims who share their experiences of healing.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Beauséjour

Each October, men from our communities walk a mile in women’s high heeled shoes to raise awareness surrounding gendered-based violence, while also raising funds for our new facility.

For information regarding Walk a Mile: the International Men’s march to end gendered based violence and sexual assault, see www.walkamile.org.
